Hint: In frogs, the mesonephros type of kidney is found. These are permanent and functional kidneys. They help in the excretion of urine. Each kidney is connected to a ureter through which urine passes into the bladder and out of the body through the cloaca.

Complete answer:
In frogs, there are some veins which before reaching the heart takes the blood to the other part of the organs. These veins form a portal system. There are two portal systems in the frog renal portal system and the hepatic portal system. Renal portal veins carry blood to the kidneys. It transports blood from the lower part of the body. The impure blood is collected by the capillaries which form a femoral and sciatic vein. The sciatic vein is present on the inner side of the leg and the femoral vein is present on the outer side of the leg. The dorsal femoral vein joins with the sciatic vein to form the renal portal vein in the coelom. They then enter the kidney by the number of branches from the outer margin. The impure blood passes through the kidney by this portal system.

Additional Information: The heart of the frog is a three-chambered heart that has one ventricle and two atria. In this type of heart system mixing of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood can take place easily. Both the atria present empty the blood in them to the ventricle and the ventricle then pumps it to either in the pulmonary tract or in the lungs. The liver of the frog is the largest organ present in its body. It is a three-lobed liveR. The gallbladder is located near the liver to store the bile.
So, the answer is ‘kidney’.

Note: The sciatic vein carries impure blood from the legs to the kidney. The blood doesn’t directly go to the heart for purification. This type of system is the portal system and it is known as the renal portal system. Kidney helps in the purification of blood and the impurities are released out in the form of urine.
