This true Indian man was born at Cuttack, Orissa on January 23, 1897 to Prabhavati Dutt Bose and Janakinath Bose and was the ninth child among the fourteen children.

Later he was sent to England to prepare for the Indian Civil Services Examination which he passed with 4th position.

He left Congress in 1939 because of political differences with Mahatma Gandhi. He founded his own powerful party Azad Hind Army as he thought that non-violence policy of Mahatma Gandhi was not capable of getting independence for the country.
Subhash Chandra Bose found a great opportunity in the 2nd world war for British weakness. He also went to Germany, Japan and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, to take help. He became commander of Indian National Army to fight against the British rule. It is believed that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose died in an air plane crash in the year 1945.
