Hint: Sultan Ghiyasuddin Balban was the ninth ruler of the Mamluk Dynasty. He ruled over Bengal to Afghanistan to southern parts of India.

Complete answer:
Balban was the slave of Iltutmish. He served as the right hand of Nasiruddin Mahmud. After the death of his master, he ascended the throne and became the ninth ruler. He ruled between the period of 1265 to 1287 AD. He ruled with an aim to control major parts of India and that people should also respect and show their loyalty to the crown. He broke the ties with Chahalgini, the group of nobles in the court. He also had a well-planned Intelligence system, with spies and secret reporters and writers to keep an eye.

Now talking about the areas controlled by Balban, he ruled a vast empire that stretched from Bengal in the east to Afghanistan in the west and Dravida and all parts in the south. People of different regions such as Andhra, Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka and Gujarat fled before his army. Now talking about the case of Assam in 1265, it was under the rule of the Ahom Dynasty. The dynasty comprised several rulers ruled from 1228 to 1838 in Assam. Manipur was under the reign of king Khumomba and Kashmir was under the control of Ramdeva who was succeeded by other Kings.
Therefore Balban never controlled Assam, Manipur and Kashmir.

The correct answer is option B, False.

Note: Balban dynasty is also known as Slave dynasty. Ulug Khan was the real name of Ghiyasuddin Balban.
