Hint : Cuboid nets are laid 2D faces, the six of small nets wise equals it $x = {\text{cm}}$ and bigger side $y = {\text{cm}}$ (length). Use the volume of cuboid formula $ = \;l \times b \times h$ to calculate the volume.

So, above fig:
$x + x + x + y + x = 36$
$4x + y = 36$ 1)
$x + y = 21$ 2)
$3x = 15\left( {\because \;{\text{subaction}}\;{\text{2)}}\;{\text{from}}\;{\text{1)}}} \right)$
$x = 5$
Putting $x = 5\;in\;2)$
$y = 16$
y. is the length of cuboid, but according to question its base is of square. So both breadth$ = \;{\text{height}}\;{\text{ = }}\;{\text{x}}\;{\text{cm}}$ as $x = 5\;{\text{and}}\;y = 16$
volume of cuboid will be $ = \;l \times b \times h$
$ = 16 \times 5 \times 5$
$ = 400{\text{c}}{{\text{m}}^3}.$
Note : Always try to figure out the shape of net .As in this question its base is of square that’s why both height and breadth are equal.
