Hint: Latent heat is the energy absorbed by an object during change in its physical phase ,it occurs without change in its temperature. Amount of energy required to change liquid to gas or gas to liquid without any change in temperature is called latent heat of vaporization.

Complete answer:
We can describe behaviour of atoms and molecules by states of matter. There are three states of matter that are solid, liquid and gases and plasma which are sometimes referred to as the fourth state of matter. Particles are widely spaced. Plasma is the state which is similar to gases where electrons do not stick with their atoms. Particles can move from one phase to another if energy is added to it or taken away from it. Solid is the rigid object, liquid has loosely bonded atoms and molecules and atoms and molecules of gases are free to move .They don’t have any shape or volume. The process of converting gaseous state to liquid state is called condensation and vice versa is called evaporation. And the process of converting liquid to solid is called solidification. The process of converting solid to gaseous form directly without involving liquid phase is called sublimation. Liquid is incompressible, properties of liquid are atoms and molecules are slightly close to each other. Liquid have fixed volume but indefinite shape. Liquids flow from higher to lower levels. Liquid has a boiling point above room temperature. Latent heat is expressed as the amount of heat per mole. Latent heat is related to the heat property which is also called enthalpy. There are different types of latent heat such as latent heat of fusion, Latent heat of vaporization, latent heat of sublimation. The heat of fusion for water at \[0{}^\circ c\] is approx $334$ Joules per gram and the heat of vaporization at \[100{}^\circ c\] is about $2250$ Joules per gram.

Note: The air we breathe is made up of different gases which are nitrogen and oxygen. We can see through some solid-like gases. Liquids are water, blood or oil which is difficult to compress. Hard solids are metals. Wood is a natural solid. Small forces tend to change its shape.
