Hint: There is the two position of the action to lift the weight or un lift the weight from the well, to lift the weight from the well we have to pull the rope which are tied in the weight, to un lift the weight from the well we have to push the rope which are tied in the weight.
Complete step by step solution:
To draw the water from the well, first we have to tie the one end of the rope in the bucket and throw the bucket into the well, after the bucket is filled with the water the rope is guided from the pulley. Here we use pulley for the easy lift of the bucket with the full of water. If we want to get the bucket full of water, we have to pull the rope, so that the bucket full of water comes up.
Suppose the rope is pushed, then the bucket with the full of water goes towards the bottom of the well. So that the push or pull of the object will determine the state of the direction of the motion of the objects. If the rope is pulled, the direction of the motion of the bucket with the full of water moves in an upward direction. If the rope is pushed, the direction of the motion of the bucket with the full of water moves in downward direction.
Note: The direction of the motion of the object is fully based on the push of the object or the pull of the object. One more example for this is, if the heavy box is supposed to move, if the man pushes the box, it moves away from the man, if the man pulls the box, it moves towards the man.
