Hint: The compounds in solids, liquids or gases i.e. in any form of matter which contain carbon in its molecule are known as the organic compound. There are a large number of organic compounds so their classification is also present.

Complete answer:
There are many branches of chemistry and the branch which studies organic compounds is known as organic chemistry.
Vital force theory was given by the scientist named Berzelius in 1809 and according to his theory organic compounds are those compounds which are only formed by natural processes of living organisms and can-not be synthesized artificially i.e. in the laboratory. This theory was discarded as a scientist named Friedrich Wohler discovered in the early 1800s that organic compounds can also be synthesized from minerals and other non-organic materials in the laboratory.
Nowadays modern chemistry and materials sciences have concentrated on the remarkable properties of carbon atoms for the production of synthetic chemicals, pesticides and many other things. Organic compounds which contain carbon are always bonded to another carbon atom or hydrogen atom. The main example of organic compounds prepared in the laboratory is urea which is used as a pesticide.

Note:
Organic compounds are essential because they contain carbon in all living organisms. For example the carbon cycle which involves exchanging carbon in photosynthesis and cell respiration between plants and animals and carbon compounds are also in various industries. There are also such types of compounds which have carbon in them but are not considered in organic compounds.
