Hint: To know what range means we should first understand in which topic of mathematics the term range is used. The range term is used in the Relation topic of mathematics where the second element of the ordered pair of the set is known as range and the first element of the ordered pair is known as domain.

Complete step-by-step answer:
The function between two sets $A$ and $B$ is given as below:
$f:A\to B$
Here we have $A$ as the domain and $B$ as the co-domain of the function and in order to know the range we should know the function.
So the range of a function is the set of outputs which a function achieves when it is applied to its whole setoff outputs.
The range is the set of outputs we get when we feed all the input the function given.
So in a set of ordered pairs we got from a relation the second element is our range. For example:-
In the relation $\left\{ \left( 1,1 \right),\left( 2,4 \right),\left( 3,9 \right) \right\}$ the range is $\left( 1,4,9 \right)$

Note: Range of a function is a set containing the output values that are produced by a function. Rage can also be used when we denote a set of real numbers that include all the numbers in between any two numbers in the set also known as intervals. Range has different meaning in different areas of mathematics as well as other subjects like in statistics it is the difference between the highest and the lowest values in a set.
