A biophysical environment consists of both biotic and abiotic factors which help for the survival and development of all types of organisms in their habitat. The biotic factors include producer, consumer and decomposers which helps to maintain the environment cycles whereas the abiotic factors include light, temperature, water, air, humidity, soil, organic and inorganic nutrients.

The most important factor of the environment is productivity, decomposition, energy flow and nutrient cycling. All the functions of the biosphere are performed by the pond, where a producer takes up inorganic nutrients with solar energy and performs photosynthesis and it is known as primary productivity, consumers which depend on organic matter get developed with the help of primary productivity and help in secondary productivity.
