Hint: The fibres are taken from the cotton wool and twisted. The formed wires are known as yarn. The yarn is used to make fabric.

Complete answer:
The process used for making yarn from the fibers is known as spinning.
Cotton wool is gained in the form of cotton balls from cotton plants. From this mass, cotton is picked by hands. Then fibers and seeds are separated from each other by combining. This process is known as ginning.
The fibers are drawn out and are twisted to bind together to form a yarn.
Spinning can be done by various methods:
- By hand.
- By takli.
- By charkha.
- By machines.
The fabric is prepared from yarn by two methods:
- Weaving: The method when two sets of yarn arranged together to form a fabric is known as weaving. The weaving process is done on looms. Looms are both hand-operated as well as machine operated.
- Knitting: Interlocking the loops of two yarns to bind them together with the help of needles is known as knitting. Knitting is done by hands or machines both. A sweater is made by the knitting process.

Note: The threads are made up of thinner strands that are known fibers. Fabrics are made up of fibers. Based on the origin of fibers, the fibers are of two types: synthetic and natural. Jute and Cotton are extracted from plants and silk and wool are gained from animals, so these fibers are known as natural fibers.
