Hint:The term solvation is related to the process of making the solution from solute and solvent. When the solute is immersed in the solvent then there is a surrounding of the solute molecules by the solvent molecules.

So, when the solute is mixed in the solvent then, there are some interactions between the solute and solvent particles which will form a stable solution. This form of interaction between the solute and solvent is known as the solvation effect. If the solution is stable, as the solute is immersed in the solvent, then there is a surrounding of the solute molecules by the solvent molecules.
We know there are two types of solute ions and uncharged species, both can show solvation effects. This interaction strength depends on many properties like solubility, color, reactivity, density, viscosity, etc. in which solubility, color, reactivity are the properties of solute and density, viscosity is the properties of the solvent.
When the solvent is water, then the solvation term can be replaced with hydration.
Two types of bonds are formed due to solvation, these are hydrogen bonding and van der Waals forces.
Note:According to the strength the hydrogen bonding is a stronger bond as compared to the van der Waals forces, so the boiling point of the solutions having hydrogen bonding will be higher than the solution having van der Waals forces.
