Hint: The compound which is called as king of chemical, is widely used in the laboratories and chemical industries. It is also among the most acidic acids. Now you can easily find the answer.

Complete answer:
1. Sulphuric acid (${ H }_{ 2 }{ SO }_{ 4 }$) is called the “King of Chemicals” because it is used in the preparation of a very large number of other useful chemicals such as hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, dyes, drugs etc.
2. Properties of Sulfuric acid - Sulfuric acid, also called oil of vitriol, or hydrogen sulfate, dense, colourless, oily, corrosive liquid; one of the most commercially important of all chemicals. Sulfuric acid is prepared industrially by the reaction of water with sulfur trioxide.
Sulphuric acid is a strong acid with hygroscopic and oxidizing properties. Sulfuric acid has the properties of strong acidic nature and is corrosive. At higher concentrations, it acts as an oxidizing agent and dehydrating agent.
3. Uses of Sulfuric acid - In various concentrations the acid is used in the manufacture of fertilizers, pigments, dyes, drugs, explosives, detergents, and inorganic salts and acids, as well as in petroleum refining and metallurgical processes.
Much of sulfuric acid is used for superphosphates, ammonium sulphate fertilizers (approximately 80%), although just 20% is used in the chemical industry.

Therefore, the correct answer is option D.

Note: You should know that the annual production of sulphuric acid in a country is a measure of the economy of the country. In our houses one of its most familiar applications, sulphuric acid serves as the electrolyte in lead–acid storage batteries.
