Complete answer:
Ghoomar is a traditional folk dance form which has its origin from Marwar in Rajasthan. Basically it is a dance form which is performed by women. The women performing Ghoomar wear beautiful swirling Ghaghara and also a choli. The accessories worn by the women during the dance are mainly made of Kundan beads. As the name of the dance form itself defines, the basic step of this dance form, which is ‘Ghoomna’, means to take several rounds while dancing. The dance form began as a culture in Rajasthan during the reign of Rajputs. According to the rituals, the newly married woman has to perform this dance form after being welcomed to the new home. Ghoomar also ranked 4th in top 10 folk dances of the world in 2013.

Let us find the correct answer,
- Option A: Garba is the traditional folk dance of Gujarat. This dance form resembles all the ‘The Avatars Of Goddess Durga’ and that is why, it is mainly performed before the Aartis on Navratri nights. Therefore Option A is an incorrect option.
- Option B: Dandiya is also a traditional folk dance of Gujarat which is performed during Navratri. But the main difference between Garba dance and Dandiya Dance is that Dandiya is performed after Aarti of goddess Durga. Therefore Option B is incorrect.
- Option C: As explained above, Option C is the correct option.
- Option D: Kathak is a folk dance form of Uttar Pradesh which is performed in Anarkali suits for women and normal kurta-pyjamas for men. One of the most legendary dancers of Kathak ‘Birju Maharaj' is popular for his work in this art form. He also wrote the book ‘ Ang-Kavya‘. Therefore Option D is an incorrect option.

Hence, option C. Ghoomar is the correct answer.

Note: Women perform this folk dance with Ghoonghat on their head and face. Gulabo Sapera is one of the legendary dancers of Ghoomar dance form. Some of the traditional songs on which the Ghoomar dance is performed include ‘Rumal’ and 'Mor bole re‘.
