Hint:The wastes which cannot be broken down into natural components or cannot be decomposed are called non – biodegradable wastes. They are present in the environment for a long time and can also harm the environment.

Complete step by step answer:
There are a lot of waste materials which are produced by us in our daily life. They can be classified into two types: biodegradable and non – biodegradable.
Biodegradable materials: The substances or material which can be easily decomposed by micro – organisms present in the environment or any other natural organisms is called biodegradable materials. They can be broken down into by natural components such as bacteria, fungi etc. and can also be decomposed by abiotic components such as ultraviolet rays, temperature etc. These wastes are produced by plant or animal sources.
Non – biodegradable materials: The substances which cannot be decomposed or degraded by the natural components present in the environment is called non – biodegradable materials. These wastes are present in the environment for many years and they harm the environment. The few examples of non – biodegradable wastes are plastic, polystyrene, toxic chemicals, paints, tyres etc. The extreme use of fertilizers and chemical pesticides can affect the fertility of soil. When they are passed into water bodies, they also affect the life of aquatic animals.
Now, according to the question, tyre, plastic and electronic components cannot be decomposed by the natural components in the environment therefore, all of these are the non – biodegradable materials.
Hence, option (D) is the correct answer.

Note:Non – biodegradable wastes are not eco – friendly therefore, scientists combine biodegradable wastes with non – biodegradable wastes, so they can be easily degradable, but it is costly. Therefore, we should use the 3 R’s – Recycle, Reuse and Reduce. We should recycle the products and make use of them again and again so we can reduce the non – biodegradable wastes from our environment.
