Hint : Since, power plants are the main reason that we are getting electricity. Taking some different types of power plants, example: geothermal, nuclear, wind and hydroelectric. Explaining them briefly with working and reasons why they work or not on earth’s gravity.

Complete step-by-step solution:
Explaining which works on earth gravity and which not
Taking a geothermal power plant first, it uses the core heat of earth as an energy source. In this power plant, wells are drilled into earth to pump pressurized hot water or steam into the turbine. The steam spins the turbine, causing the turbine to move and create electricity. Thus, it uses pressurized steam that expands and it doesn’t require gravity of earth.
Taking a nuclear power plant, it uses the fission of molecules as an energy source. In this power plant, fission takes place which causes heat to produce. The heat is then used to make water boil and convert into steam. Afterward, the same process happens as above in geothermal. The splitting of atoms (fission) doesn’t require gravity. Thus, it doesn’t work on earth gravity.
Taking a hydroelectric power plant, it uses flowing water as a core energy source. In this power plant, the water is kept in large containers named dams. The water then flows out from an opening created with a turbine. The water flows in the turbine making it move and generate electricity. The falling water or running water is due to the earth gravity pulling the water down on earth. Thus, hydroelectric power plants work on earth gravity.
Taking a wind power plant, it uses wind as a core energy source. In this power plant, wind blades move with air flowing in the atmosphere. The moving of wind blades also moves the turbine, which creates electricity. The wind on earth is because of the atmospheric pressure which is caused by the gravity of earth. Thus, wind power plants work on earth gravity.
Other power plants which burn fuel use heat energy as a core energy source. It's the same as above using heat to boil water in steam that later on creates electricity. It involves conversion of material. Thus, it doesn’t use earth gravity.

Note: Gravity is force between two masses but earth is massive and other objects are tiny so that we don’t affect the earth but it affects us. Gravity is the weakest force in comparison to other forces. Gravity and weight are not the same as gravity is force and our weight is gravity speed and mass.
