Complete step-by-step answer:

This speech is to be delivered in a morning assembly. So, let’s write this speech based on the above format.

Good morning to my teachers and friends present here. Today, I would like to talk about a topic very dear to my heart, ‘Yoga’. Yoga is a very ancient practice that got its early start about 5000 years ago, in the Indus-Saraswati civilization in Northern India. It is such an ancient practice, thousands of studies have been conducted in order to understand it more.
The yoga that is practiced today is very different from the yoga that was practiced thousands of years ago. It has evolved into something that is palatable for modern society. The original purpose of yoga was to spiritually develop oneself. It was practiced so that the person would become more aware of their own nature. Modern yoga increases our body’s awareness, relieves stress, helps concentration, calms the nervous system, and reduces inflammation in the body. In today’s complicated and stress-inducing society, yoga helps you to take a step back and relax. Moreover, it has positive effects on mental health due to the relaxing nature of it. Yoga is a self-soothing technique that also happens to improve your overall fitness. Yoga helps to slow down your fight-or-flight response, which is usually the trigger for anxiety. Simultaneously, it helps to stretch your muscles and increases endurance and stamina. Practicing yoga can add years to your life.
Yoga is not just a way to become physically fit, but also mentally fit. It is one of the most ancient forms of exercise that is still practiced today.

Note: It is very important to start a speech with an appropriate greeting. It is necessary to follow the above format.
