Free PDF download of RD Sharma Class 7 Solutions Chapter 15 - Properties of Triangles and of Exercise 15.2 solved by Expert Mathematics Teachers on Vedantu.com which is an important topic for students to cover and prepare for exams.

In Mathematics, the study of various enclosed figures like rectangles, squares, circles etc. and finding their area, the perimeter is an important topic to cover. This Chapter includes the study of Triangles and their shapes and properties. We often see Triangles almost every day in our life in different forms. For example, certain traffic signal boards on the road, tents, a slice of pastry, samosa, and the parantha you eat every morning in the breakfast are all forms of Triangle. In geography, it is said that by seeing the map of our country Bharat we can conclude that it is loosely the shape of a Triangle. Therefore, it becomes important to understand what exactly a triangle is.

Triangle and Its Properties.

  • In mathematical terms, Triangle is a three-sided enclosed figure(called polygon) with three angles and three vertices respectively. The three sides, three angles and three vertices are also termed as a Property of a Triangle.

  • Properties of Triangle

  1.  Angle sum Property of a Triangle

The sum total of all the three angles in a triangle will always be equal to 180 degrees. This property is termed as the Angle sum Property of a Triangle.

  1. Exterior angle Property of a Triangle

Any Exterior Angle of the Triangle will always be equal to the sum total of its opposite interior angles. This Property is termed as the Exterior angle Property of a Triangle.

  1. Similarly, the side which is opposite to that of the largest angle of the Triangle will always be the Largest Side of that Triangle.

  2. Lastly, the Subtotal of the Length of any of the two sides of any triangle will always be greater than the length of the third side.
