लेखक के बारे में

सुमित्रानंदन पंत का जन्म 20 मई 1900 को उत्तराखंड के अल्मोड़ा जिले के कौसानी गाँव में हुआ था। वे हिंदी साहित्य के छायावादी युग के प्रमुख कवि थे। उनकी कविताएँ प्रकृति के सौंदर्य और मानव जीवन के बीच के गहरे संबंधों को उजागर करती हैं। स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन में उन्होंने महात्मा गांधी के आह्वान पर पढ़ाई छोड़ दी। उनकी प्रमुख रचनाओं में "पल्लव," "गुंजन," और "चिदंबरा" शामिल हैं। 28 दिसंबर 1977 को उनका देहांत हो गया।
