The story of Meghnad and Hanuman is a very famous verse from the Hindu mythology Ramayana. In this verse, Meghnad and Hanuman meet each other and try to use their powers and Astra to stop one another for their own motives. This verse starts when Hanuman invades Ravan's Lanka in order to save Goddess Sita. And in order to do the same, Hanuman starts to destroy Ravan's Lanka.
When Meghnad came to know about the havoc Hanuman had created, he was furious and wanted to stop him. And in this verse, kids will get to know how it happened and how Hanuman and Meghnad fought each other.
The verse starts when Meghnad, son of Ravana, saw Hanuman destroying Lanka and everybody else was unable to stop him. Hanuman entered Lanka and inflicted a huge mess all over. When Meghnad came to know about it he got very furious. He took his father's Ravana blessings and set out to control Hanuman by killing him.
After roaming in Lanka, Meghnad finally saw Hanuman. As soon as Meghnad saw Hanuman, he started firing arrows at him. Hanuman being tall and powerful crushed all the arrows are thrown at him. After trying everything, Meghnad decided to use Brahmastra and captured Hanuman. But little did Meghnad know that Hanuman has been awarded a boon from Brahma that Brahmastra can not capture him for too long and will lose its power in some time.
While Hanuman was tied up by Brahmastra, rakshasas came to him in full power to charge at him but Hanuman was aware that it would not do anything to him. In addition, as soon as rakshasas touched the Brahamastra, it lost its power and Hanuman began to revive.
Seeing Hanuman gaining back his power, Meghnad was in trouble and got afraid and thought he had to immediately take Hanuman to his father Ravana to stop him from creating any further havoc in the kingdom.
This verse ends here and it depicts the fight scene between Meghnad and Hanuman and in the end, Meghnad took Hanuman to his father's court.
