This short verse starts when Hanuman was presented in front of Ravana in his court and when asked, he said he came to Lanka as Lord Ram's messenger to free Sita. In this Hanuman meets Ravana story, kids will learn how Ravana got angry upon seeing Hanuman in his kingdom and later why he ordered his men to kill him. Later in this scene, Vibhishana interrupts Ravana and stops him from ordering his men to kill Hanuman. Hanuman Meets Ravana Story in English 

The Hanuman meets Ravana story is a very famous and vital part of the Hindu Mythology Ramayana. This short verse begins when Hanuman was tied up and he entered Ravana's courtroom. Upon standing there with his hands tied, Hanuman saw Ravana sitting on his big diamond-studded throne surrounded by angels.


Seeing Hanuman Ravana asked what is the purpose of his visit to Lanka. Hanuman proudly replied that he is the messenger of Lord Rama and came to Lanka to save Lord Sita and take her with him. Upon hearing this, Ravana got angry but Hanuman tried explaining to him that he is doing evil deeds by keeping Sita in Lanka and how bad and unlawful his actions are.


Ravana couldn't hear more and got angry, he immediately ordered his men to kill Hanuman. But just when Ravana's men were about to kill Hanuman, Vibhishan (Ravana's younger brother) intervened. He was tired of Ravana's evil deeds and could not see him committing another unlawful thing.


He later tried convincing Ravana that he should not do this misdeed because killing someone is an envious crime. Hearing Vibhishana suggesting him not to kill Hanuman made him very furious.


So, this is how this verse of Hanuman vs Ravana ends.

Moral of Hanuman Meets Ravana Verse

The moral of Hanuman meets Ravana's story is that if you are brave and courageous, you can face any hurdle in life and can't face anyone commenting on evil deeds just like how Hanuman did when was in front of Ravana. From this short verse, kids will learn no matter how many misdeeds a person does, it has to come to an end sooner or later.

Hanuman vs Ravana is a very interesting story of the great Hindu mythology Ramayana.  Parents should encourage their kids to read such short verses to learn more about Indian mythology. In addition, while reading this particular verse, kids will learn why it is important to be strong headed not to be afraid of anyone.
