Pictures have a great role in stories. Kids like to interpret stories without reading. It is because reading takes time and instead of reading the sentences kids get attracted more to colourful pictures related to the story.

When it comes to storytelling, the more dramatic the storytelling is, the more the kid will adore it. It isn't just studying. Children love nature – animals, timber, earth, and many others. When the story is narrated with morals to these young minds, they grasp it fast.  

In this article, some short stories are discussed with their pictures. Let’s start with the famous story of the monkey and crocodile. Let’s see how the monkey saved himself from crocodiles.

This is a kids’ favourite story of two best friends a crocodile and a monkey. The story centres on a crocodile who lived in the river and a monkey that resided on a tree along the edge of the river. Monkey befriended that crocodile. So, the crocodile, who was the monkey's friend, too took part in the tree's fruits. The crocodile also grabbed a portion of the food for his wife. He had a greedy wife, though, who was more interested in the sweetness of the monkey's heart than the fruit's. The crocodile followed her advice and agreed to take the monkey home. He chose to tell him the truth instead of betraying his friend, though. The monkey thus stopped his connection with the crocodile while saving himself with a cunning justification. This demonstrates how both the tasty fruits and the crocodile's pal were lost.

The tale teaches the kids how not to blindly consider someone and to be street clever when in trouble. It is important for youngsters to recognize from a young age that they need to “think” whilst in trouble and not simply freeze in panic.

The Elephants And The Mice

This is a story of an elephant and mice. One day when the elephant was wandering in the forest in the search of food accidentally mice came under the elephant's foot. Despite killing those mice elephant chose to save his life. Mice thanked him for this. One another day unfortunately elephant got stuck in a net and hunters were about to come. That day mice helped his big friend, he destroyed the net and made the elephant free from the hunter's net. In this way, both saved each other's life and became good friends.

This teaches the kids that being huge or small does not rely on and they can still help others. This is an essential lesson for youngsters – to remember the fact that simply because they are larger or smaller than other children, does not determine their real worth. It also suggests to them the importance of friendship and how one should constantly help a friend in need.

Foolish Thief

This is a tale about a thief who stole a goat from a residence and then two days later steals a cow too. The proprietors of the residence trick the thief to trust there was a lot of unattended gold in the residence. Without figuring out it was a lure, the foolish thief entered the residence to scouse borrow but got stuck as a substitute. This teaches the kids things – stealing is bad and in case you suppose smart, you could trap the thief.

Moral – Smart Thinking Can Save the Day

In Monkey and the Crocodile Story, they were good friends but the greediness of the crocodile’s wife broke their friendship this story teaches us that we ought to in no way underestimate ourselves just like the monkey.
