Being a cruel person, he just chopped and crushed those little branches and trees as he went. He didn’t have any remorse for killing the small plants too.

Very soon, the elder brother came across a golden tree that was filled with amazing golden apples. The tree had very big branches that were blocking his way. So, he took out his axe to cut the branches of the golden tree down. As he was about to do that, a voice came from the golden tree.

The voice said, “Please don’t cut my branches down. I will give you a lot of golden apples in return if you spare my branches.” So, the older brother agreed to spare the branches. In return, the tree gave him a few golden apples. However, the older brother was very greedy and was unsatisfied with a few golden apples. So, he threatened the tree. He said, “These many apples are not enough. If you don’t give me more, I will cut down all the branches of the right now.”

So, the older brother waited for the tree to give him more golden apples. But that was not going to happen. Instead, the tree showered hundreds of needles on the young man. He lay on the ground, grieving in pain.

The Younger Brother Saves the Day 

After some time, the younger brother arrived in the forest, looking for his elder brother. He soon came across the golden tree and saw his brother lying there, covered in needles. Seeing such horrible sight, tears streamed down his eyes, and he started to take the needles out one by one.

Seeing such love and devotion from the younger brother, the golden tree decided to spare the life of the elder brother. It also gave them a lot of golden apples. The elder brother finally understood that his brother loved him very much, and he was never mean again.
