Once upon a time, there was a young man who claimed that he had the most beautiful heart in the world. He showed his heart to others and said that no one’s heart was as beautiful as his. The others agreed with his words as well.

The Young Man’s Heart

Whenever someone would look at the young man’s heart, they would be completely mesmerized and in a trance. They would sing his praises and tell him that he has the best heart of all. But one day, an old man came to town and challenged the young man.

The Challenge From the Old Man

The old man came to the young man’s home. He said, “You are wrong, my boy. Actually, I have the most beautiful heart in the world.” The young man didn’t believe the words of the old man and asked for proof. He said, “Show me your heart. Let us see who has the most beautiful heart in the world. Let the people see as well.” Saying that the young man showed his heart. Truly, it was magnificent to look at. There was no spot or scratch on the heart. Everything was in the right place. There were no uneven edges and the heart was red in colour. Anyone would’ve looked at that and said that it was indeed the most beautiful heart. Now it was the old man’s turn to show his heart.

The Old Man Shows His Heart

When the old man’s turn came, he then showed the heart in his body. Everyone was shocked to see a very ugly heart there. Some of the pieces in the heart were incomplete. There were many rough edges. Even the colour of the heart was not the same. Some places in the heart had different colours and there were many gaps in certain areas as well.

The young man saw it and started laughing. He said, “Are you joking with me, old man? This is perhaps the ugliest heart that I have ever seen. Look at my heart, you will not be able to find a spot there. It is shiny, attractive, and extremely beautiful. Your heart is broken from places and doesn’t even look like a heart How can you say you have the most beautiful heart then?”

The Old Man Gives Words of Wisdom

The question from the young man didn’t go unanswered. The old man said calmly, “You see, my heart is uneven because I have shared my love with others.
