Ronaldinho, full name, Ronaldinho Gaúcho or Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, is a former Brazilian professional footballer and current ambassador of Barcelona. He was one of the best players of his generation, regarded by many as one of the greatest players of all time. The Brazilian eminent football player, Ronaldinho was a member of Brazil's 2002 World cup championship team and twice won the FIFA World Player of the year award. His father Joas de Assis Moreira, who drowned in a swimming pool accident, was a shipyard worker and football player for local club Esporte Clube Cruzeiro whereas his mother, Dona Miguelina Eloi Assis dos Santos, was a former cosmetic saleswoman and is now a nurse.

Identified as an achiever, he made his senior side debut during the 1998 Copa Libertadores and subsequently signed a five-year contract with French side Paris Saint-Germain in 2001.

He was also a part of the Brazilian team in the World Cup 2002 and played an active role in supporting his team clinching the championship. Ronaldinho Professional Career

Ronaldinho started his career as a professional footballer. He got a call from the Brazilian national team Under -17 in 1917. He became a strong pillar in the Brazilian national team victory at the Under -17 World Cup event held in Egypt.

Ronaldinho signed a contract with Gremio in 1988. After successfully donating the Copa Sul and the Rio Grande do Sul State Championship awards, Ronaldinho was instantly selected by the French League team, Paris Saint Germain. Ronaldinho signed a five-year contract with the team in 2001.

Being one of the most famous soccer players, he straightaway donated the Intertoto Cup title to PSG. After a year, Ronaldinho got a call from the Brazilian national team to compete in the 2002 World Cup stage held in Korea-Japan.
