Will cricket be ever introduced at an international multi-sport event?
Cricket was played as part of the 1900 Summer Olympics. It was played when England and France conducted a two-day match. Later in 1988, it was played as Commonwealth games. There were some who talked about T20 cricket being part of the 2010 Commonwealth games. They were to be held in Delhi. At that time the BCCI was not in favor of the short format of the game being played by players. Hence, it was not included.

Talking about the present time in March 2021, Virat Kohli scored the most runs. The highest individual record was made by Aaron Finch in T20 Internationals. He scored innings of 172 against Zimbabwe in 2018.
Lasith Malinga holds the record for most wickets. He has taken 107 wickets in 84 matches.

Women’s T20 International is 20 overs per side. The first match was held in August 2004 between England and New Zealand. The women’s team had a debut six months after the first T20 International match. The highest level event was held in 2009.
In April 2018, the ICC granted permission to full women’s T20 status to all its members.
All T20 matches played between two international sides after 1 July 2018 will be fully Women’s Twenty20 International. The ICC gave all fixtures in the tournament women’s Twenty20 International status.
