Sachin Tendulkar, the wizard of cricket, is known as one of the top-performing batsmen of all time. His magical cricketing skills gave him the name ‘Master Blaster’. He continued to rise with his brilliant performance and was the first international player who signed for Yorkshire Club, England. He returned to being the opener of the Indian cricket team leaving captaincy in 1998. He again became the captain in 1999 for a brief period but won only 4 test matches after playing 25. His Legacy Carries On

Despite his setback in the captaincy record, he still performed as a strong pillar of the Indian cricket team. He delivered one of his best performances in the field in 1998 in Sharjah. He played against the mighty Australians and scored his maiden double century at the first-class level. This performance was named the ‘desert storm’ that blew Australians away. Later in 2001, he became the first batsman to score more than 10,000 runs in One Day International level alone. Sachin Tendulkar was awarded Bharat Ratna and became the first sportsman and the youngest receiver. He married Dr. Anjali Mehta, a renowned paediatrician in 1995. His son Arjun Tendulkar age is 21 years old. He also has a daughter named Sara. He devotes most of his retired time playing charity matches.
