The National Testing Agency (NTA) organizes the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The CUET Exam will be conducted for undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the first time this year. While the entrance exam is needed for admission to all UG courses in central universities, some universities have chosen to skip it for this year's PG courses. CUET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The age of the candidate is not a barrier for attempting CUET 2024 for UG programmes. Candidates who have passed the Class 12th/equivalent examination or will be taking it in 2025 are eligible to take the CUET 2024. Candidates should note that they must meet the age requirements (if any) of the individual universities to which they wish to apply. Read detailed points on CUET 2024 Eligibility Criteria.

  • Candidates must have cleared Class 12th from a government recognised board. Please note that it is mandatory to score 50% marks for General Category candidates and 45% for SC/ST.

  • Since the CUET eligibility criteria differ between courses and universities, candidates should check official websites of the respective universities.

  • Candidates who failed in their Class 12th are not eligible to apply for CUET 2024.

  • Even if a candidate passes the entrance exam, admission to the programme is not guaranteed unless the candidate meets the eligibility requirements of the university to which they are applying.

CUET 2023 Cut-off Marks

To get qualified in the CUET entrance exam, students must get a minimum cut-off score. The conducting body specifies this score, which is announced on the official NTA CUET website.  Cut-offs differ depending on the category. The merit list is based on this cut-off score.

The cut-off score for a given year is determined by two major factors for CUET College Entrance Exam 2023:

  • Number of candidates taking the exam

  • The exam's level of difficulty

CUET 2024 Counselling Process

The CUET 2024 counselling process will begin once the exam is finished and results are declared, which is tentatively in 1st week of July 2024. Each participating university will hold its own CUET counselling session in 2024. Students who pass the CUET 2024 Exam and appear on the rank list will be invited to the CUET 2024 counselling.

Candidates must first register for CUET counselling by visiting the official websites of participating universities. Candidates must login with their application number and password to register for CUET counselling 2024. After that candidates must enter their college preference and course of study.
