KCET 2024 Exam College List

Candidates willing to secure admission to B.Tech courses offered through KCET in the state of Karnataka must ensure that they fulfill all the required eligibility criteria. Only those candidates who meet all the eligibility requirements prescribed by KEA will be considered for admission in the KCET participating colleges. The eligibility criteria for KCET B.Tech Admission are listed below:

  • A candidate must be an Indian citizen in order to be considered for admission into KCET exam colleges.

  • Candidates are required to have passed their 10+2 or second PUC or equivalent examination wherein having studied the subjects of Physics, Mathematics and Electronics/ Computer/Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology.

  • Candidates are required to have secured a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% marks for reserved categories) in the qualifying examination.

  • Candidates are required to have studied English as a compulsory subject in the qualifying examination.

  • In order to be considered for admission to the B.Tech course in KCET participating institutes, candidates must have studied for 7 years at least from a government or government-recognized institute, the period of seven years ranging in between Class 1 and qualifying examination.

  • Candidates are required to obtain qualifying marks as per their category in KCET.

More than 250 colleges in the state of Karnataka offer admission to B.Tech courses on the basis of KCET scores. KCET Seat Allotment

The authorities shall announce the mock seat allotment after the Karnataka Common Entrance Test result after which, candidates will be allowed to change the preference of colleges and institutes saved by candidates. This will be followed by two rounds of KCET seat allotment along with a second extended and special round. The allotment of seats for KCET 2024 shall be done solely on the merit basis considering the choices filled by candidates and also the availability of seats in the respective institutes.
