The Selection Process of KVPY
There are two stages of the KVPY selection process, which are the Aptitude Test and the Interview. The KVPY total marks on the question papers for the streams SA, SB, and SX is 100.
Only those students are eligible who are studying in XI standard to 1st year of any undergraduate Program in Basic Sciences such as B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in subjects of Physics, Biology, Mathematics and Chemistry having an aptitude for scientific research.
On the basis of the performance of the aptitude test students are short-listed and called for an interview, which is the final stage of the selection procedure. Both aptitude tests and interview marks are considered for receiving a fellowship.
