VTU Full Form

VTU stands for Visvesvaraya Technological University.

Introduction on VTU: 

VTU has authority over engineering education all through the province of Karnataka. It is a legal necessity for schools offering any program in building or innovation in the state to be partnered with the college. The college is named after M. Visvesvaraya from Karnataka, the only engineer to be granted a Bharat Ratna, the most elevated non-military personnel grant in India. Jnana Sangama, Belagavi is the base area of VTU. Furthermore, the college has three provincial places in Bengaluru, Kalburgi, and Mysore. 

VTU is probably the biggest college in India with 218 schools associated with it with an admission limit of more than 467,100 undergraduate students and 12,666 postgraduate students. The college incorporates specialized and the board fields which offer 30 undergraduate and 71 postgraduate courses. It has around 1800 Ph.D. students. VTU has 13 QIP hubs and 17 extension hubs in its associated universities that are offering postgraduate courses. It has around 2,305 divisions perceived as research hubs that are spread over its recognized and affiliated institutions in urban areas of Karnataka.

When did VTU Form? 

In India, the state governments are liable for instruction in their state’s improvement, and keep track of colleges is in the command of a state government. Chancellor of VTU: 

VTU is directed by its Executive Council and Academic chamber whose individuals are chosen from the scholarly network and government officials. The current chancellor is Sri Vajubhai Vala, legislative Governor of Karnataka state and the Vice-chancellor is Dr Karisiddappa.

Visvesvaraya Technological University achieved its essential assignment of setting a general prospectus over the state in 1998. The college revised the syllabus in intervals of every four years. Prior to this, it was revised in 2002, 2006 and 2010.

BU vs. VTU:

BU ( Bangalore University)  is an older college in comparison with VTU. The number of groups passed out of BU is a lot higher than VTU. BU has a heritage (Central College, UVCE, University Law College which is more established than BY itself). Curriculum perspective both VTU and BU prospectus are correlative and practically comparative when contrasted with VTU. VTU anyway just runs specialized courses (BE/M.Tech) alongside MCA/MBA while BU has a wide scope of courses BSc/ BCA/ MSc/ MA/ BE/ Law/ ME/ MBA/ MCA, etc. History of BU goes back to 1886 which was set up as Central College and was changed over into a full-fledged University in 1964. VTU was set up just in the year 1998. A college is constantly decided on the number of batches it has educated. On this grounds, Bangalore University is the best and incomparable to some other universities in Karnataka.
