• Cricket is a well-known sport worldwide. It is a national sport that consists of two teams of 11 players on either side of the field, with a bat and ball. In the year of 1912, for the first time, a cricket team of all-India levels travelled to England. This team of cricketers was sponsored and coached by the individual known as Maharaja of Patiala. In the year 1926, a pair of spokespeople of the Calcutta Cricket Club flew to London for the cause of attending meetings of the Imperial Cricket Conference, which is the forerunner of the current International Cricket Council.

• Even if they were not an official representative of the Indian cricket team, they could attend the conference with Lord Harris' permission. In December of 1928, the Board of Control for Cricket in India was registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act and six associations affiliated with the Act.

A Brief History Of BCCI:

• The BCCI, or the Board of Control for Cricket in India, was established on the 4th of December of 1928 by a small group of players at Roshanara Club in Delhi to bring a close to the British monopoly in cricket. BCCI had six regional segments as its original members. 

• BCCI in India is the governing body for cricket under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports by the Government of India. This board was formed in December of 1928 as a society that was registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act. The first president of BCCI was Mr. R.E. Grant Govan.

About the Committee of Administrators or the COA:

The BCCI officials need to operate under the administration of the COA or the Committee of Administrators.

In the first meeting among the chosen beneficiaries of the BCCI or the Board of Control for Cricket in India and the COA or Committee of Administrators as appointed by the Supreme Court, the COA took the chance to evaluate the guidelines under which the BCCI will function.
