Pamban Island
Pamban Island, also known as Rameswaram Island, is a small island in the Adam's Bridge archipelago between peninsular India and Sri Lanka. Pamban Island, the second largest in the group, is located in the Rameswaram taluk of Tamil Nadu's Ramanathapuram district. By area, it is Tamil Nadu's biggest island. New Moore
New Moore Island, or in India it is also called Purbasha, was a small uninhabited offshore island that emerged in the Bay of Bengal following the Bhola cyclone in 1970 and vanished somewhere in the first decade of the twenty-first century. After studying recent satellite pictures, scientists from Kolkata's School of Oceanographic Studies told the BBC in 2010 that the island had been entirely drowned by rising sea levels in the Bay of Bengal. On the island, there had never been any permanent settlements or posts. Bangladesh and India fought over its sovereignty for years before the island vanished.

Sagar Island
Sagar Island is a tiny island in the Ganges delta, located about 100 kilometres (54 nautical miles) south of Kolkata on the Bay of Bengal's Continental Shelf. This island is located in the Sagar CD Block of the Kakdwip subdivision of West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district. Although Sagar island is part of the Sundarbans, it lacks the tiger habitat, mangrove forests, and tiny river tributaries that characterise the Sundarban delta as a whole. This island is a Hindu pilgrimage site. Hundreds of thousands of Hindus assemble every year on Makar Sankranti (14 January) to take a sacred bath at the confluence of the Ganges and the Bay of Bengal and to appear puja (prayers) at the Kapil Muni Temple.
