The JEE is also known as the Joint Entrance Exam. The question paper consists of 4 sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. However, since 2017, Chemistry and Physics have been merged.

JEE Advanced Mathematics is of 100 marks and divided into three sections viz. Aptitude, Aptitude and Analysis and Applications. You will get an online copy of the question paper as well as a hard copy after your JEE Advanced paper has been cleared. Both the papers are available in various formats. The paper is based on last year’s question paper. This year also the JEE Advanced Exam will be divided into two papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2.

Paper-1 will be based on the previous year’s JEE Main Exam while Paper-2 will be based on the question paper, which will be released by CBSE in the first week of the examination. This year is very special as the candidates will have a choice of writing the paper in either Hindi or English.

Last year was a shock to the candidates because they were surprised to learn that the paper was based on last year’s question paper, which was written in English. The JEE Advanced exam in 2014 also has two new features, it will be having two papers (Paper-1 and Paper-2) as last year only one paper was there. The paper will be having two different time slots, Paper-1 being the first one and Paper-2 being the second one. It will be online only, which means you will not get a chance to print it out and carry it to the examination center.

This year’s paper will also have 2 different sets of questions, which are set-1 and set-2. You will also get a choice of choosing which question paper you want to write your answer in, which will decide your time allocation for answering each question.

This year's JEE Advanced question paper will be having three new sections- Algebra, Analytic Geometry, and Statistics. It is also expected that the duration of this exam is less than last year. Last year was a big shock to the candidates and they were surprised to learn that the paper was extremely difficult as we had over 100 questions for the paper in the all-important section of Mathematics.
