If I were in the place of Nita, Radha, Sneha, and Rohit at the mela, I would do a lot of exciting things! First, I would explore the colourful stalls selling toys, clothes, and handmade crafts. I’d love to try some of the delicious snacks like cotton candy, chaat, and ice cream. Then, I would go on fun rides like the Ferris wheel and merry-go-round with my friends. We would also play some fun games like balloon shooting or ring toss to win small prizes.

I’d enjoy watching performances like magic shows, puppet shows, or dance performances. Lastly, I would take lots of pictures with my friends and family to remember the fun day at the mela!

2. How were melas different when the elders in your family were young?
When I talked to the elders in my family, they said that melas were simpler in the past. There were fewer rides and more traditional games and stalls. The melas were also smaller in size, and people used to walk to the mela, as there were fewer transport options.
