NEET AP Cutoff 2025 – Determining Factors

  1. Number of Candidates: More candidates can increase competition, raising the cutoff.

  2. Exam Difficulty: Easier exams may result in higher cutoffs, while tougher exams may lower them.

  3. Seat Availability: More MBBS seats may lower the cutoff, and fewer seats may raise it.

  4. Category-wise Reservations: Reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS) will have lower cutoffs than General.

  5. Performance of Candidates: Better overall performance by candidates can push the cutoff higher.

  6. Previous Year Trends: Last year's cutoffs serve as a benchmark for estimating the 2025 cutoff

Conclusion

The NEET 2025 cut-off for Andhra Pradesh's 85% state quota seats will depend on several factors, including exam difficulty, number of applicants, and seat availability. While the official cut-off scores will be released after the exam, trends from previous years indicate that general category candidates typically require a NEET score of 500+ to secure a government MBBS seat, while reserved categories have slightly lower cut-offs.

FAQs on NEET 2025 Cutoff AP: College and Category-wise Details

1. What is MBBS and how can any student get an MBBS degree.

MBBS stands for Bachelor in medicine and bachelor in surgery. It is the Undergraduate or bachelor course for practicing medicine as a profession. Any student aspiring to be an MBBS must enroll in the course of medicine and surgery provided by various medical colleges after class 12. To get admission into any such college requires securing a position in the merit list of the entrance exam conducted by the college or any other accepted by the college. In India, there are also some private medical colleges allowing students to get admitted without the reference to entrance exams or NEET.

2. What is the eligibility to appear in the NEET exam?

Qualifying in the NEET exam is highly rewarding as it opens up the way for getting admission into medical and dental UG courses in various colleges of India. Every year lakhs of students appear in the exam and only a percentage of the candidates taking the NEET exam get through. The 1st eligibility criteria for appearing in the exam is that an aspirant must have completed or continued in class 12 of the Science stream. The other criteria are regarding the total marks secured in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the Class 12 Board exam.

3. Why do NEET cut-offs differ for reserved and unreserved categories?

Reservation is a progressive method, that helps in uplifting the weaker sections of society by providing them equitable opportunities in the form of reserved seats in competitive exams like NEET. Hence, the NEET cut-offs for the reserved categories are lower than that for the unreserved category. Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Person with disability, and other backward classes are the reserved categories in India. The NEET cut-off for every category depends on the number of students appearing in the exam from the respective category and the number of seats available for the same.

4. Do the cut-off marks for the NEET exam in each state vary for every year?

The number of students getting admission in the medical and dental UG courses depends on the number of seats available in the medical and dental colleges present. These colleges are established by the central government or state governments. There are also some medical colleges run by private ownership. Thus the number of seats available in a state decides the cut-off mark above which a student needs to secure to get an admission. The states having more colleges and seats in them will have lower cutoff marks than the states having fewer medical or dental colleges.

5. What is the right strategy to get success in the NEET exam?

Students who have passed class 12 or continuing can appear in the NEET exam. It is essential to prepare properly and very early for getting success in the exam. Everyone must thoroughly complete the subjects of class 12 and solve the questions and problems available in the exercises of the book. Then the students must practice questions of previous years and sample sets. It is also to better have a more detailed study of the subjects from other sources and books of different publications. Vedantu also provides study materials, question sets, and their solutions to the students preparing by themselves.

6. How many seats are there in AP MBBS 2025?

In NEET 2025, Andhra Pradesh is expected to have approximately 5210 MBBS seats and 1440 BDS seats across various government and private medical colleges. The total number of seats may vary slightly depending on any new medical colleges or changes in seat allocation.

7. What is the NEET cut-off score for MBBS in AP?

The NEET 2025 cutoff for MBBS in Andhra Pradesh will likely follow similar trends as in previous years. The expected cutoff range for the General category is 720-162 marks, while for SC/ST/OBC categories, it is expected to range between 161-127 marks.

8. Who is eligible for AP state quota in NEET?

Non-local applicants are only qualified for 15% of the unreserved seats, while local candidates are eligible for both the 15% unreserved and 85% seats designated for the local area.

9. Who is the appropriate authority to issue the AP NEET 2025 cut-off?

The officials of Dr NTR University of Health Sciences have the authority to release NEET cutoff scores and ranks for the reserved and unreserved categories in Andhra Pradesh.

10. What is the expected cutoff for NEET 2025 in AP?

The expected NEET 2025 cut-off for Andhra Pradesh will be similar to previous years, with minor variations. Based on past trends:

  • General Category: 500-570+

  • BC Categories: 470-530+

  • SC Category: 420-480+
