All About RPVT Seats 2023

RPVT or Rajasthan Pre-University Veterinary Test is being conducted by the Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner Candidates can apply for the examination through online mode. The application form will be available on the official site of RAJUVAS from the third week of April along with the prospectus. The application fee will be around Rs. 2000. However, the entire admission procedure has been stalled this year because of the sudden coronavirus outbreak.

 

RPVT examination will be conducted for three hours and the question paper will consist of three subjects - Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. A total of 180 objective type questions will be provided in the exam. 

 

This year a total of 312 RPVT seats will be offered to 6 BVSc and AH colleges, which includes three constituent and three affiliated colleges in the state.

RPVT Seats 2023:

As per RAJUVAS, a total of 85% of sanctioned seats are reserved for Rajasthan domicile candidates. Amongst which, only 15% of seats are reserved for the All India quota. The entire seat matrix is given below while divided into two categories - 1. RPVT seats for affiliated colleges and 2. RPVT seats for constituent colleges. 

 

Meanwhile, a certain number of RPVT seats are reserved for various categories of candidates. A total of 79% of seats are reserved for various candidates categories such as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), and Non-Creamy Layer More Backward Class (MBC-NCL). The chart has been given in the following for the convenience of the candidates.

 

As per the government notification, nearly 25% reservation has been provided to the female candidates in the general category. 

 

RPVT Seats 2023 - Reservation Criteria:

There are certain reservation criteria for qualified candidates in the Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) and Animal Husbandry (AH) programs. These candidates will be granted admission based on the RPVT reservation criteria as per the instructions by the Government of Rajasthan for the SC, ST, OBC, and MBC categories amongst others.

Overview of the RPVT Admission Procedure:

  • Application Form:

The RPVT exam usually gets conducted by the regulatory authority on the second Sunday of June every year. Therefore, it was expected that the RPVT 2022 exam will be held on June 14, 2022 pen andpapermode, while the application form is available on the RAJUVAS website from the second week of March. 

 

However, this year the entire RPVT application and admission procedure will be rescheduled due to the current coronavirus or COVID-19 outbreak in the entire India. The new schedule will be updated on the official website of RAJUVAS upon the government order. 

 

  • Result:

RPVT 2023 Result will be published in the first week of July via online mode. Candidates will be able to check their RPVT results by logging in using their User ID or Registration Number and Password. They must check their score and take the print out as well for further reference. The scorecard will contain a lot of important details of the candidate including candidate’s name, candidate’s parents’ names, date of birth, gender, photograph, category of the candidate, qualifying status, rank, obtained marks, cut-off marks, and his/her signature. 

 

  • Merit List and Counselling:

Following this, a merit list will be published along with the scorecard on the official website of RAJUVAS rajuvas.org. If the candidate’s name appears on the merit list, then he/ she will be able to appear for the counselling sessions. RPVT 2022 counselling will be done by the examination conducting body. Depending upon the number of vacant seats, a number of counselling rounds are held it could be two or three based on the number of seats.

 

The RPVT 2023 admission is completely based on the result and merit list of the examination. The seats allotted to the candidates during the counselling are provisional until they report to the Principal/Head/Dean of the allotted college with the required documents and certificates the list is given in the following

 

Another very important point to remember is that every candidate has to be physically present at the allotted centre during the time of counselling. Failure to that will result in disqualification irrespective of any circumstances.

 

RPVT 2023 Document Verification Procedure:

Along with the counselling process for the RPVT 2023 exam, the following documents are required to be submitted at the counselling centre for the verification process. Failing which will lead to disqualification of the candidate for the further procedure. 

  • Mark sheet and Certificate of Senior Secondary or equivalent Examination.

  • Mark sheet of 10+2 level.

  • Two identical coloured photographs with name and date mentioned on it.

  • RPVT 2023 Registration details and Application form print-out

  • RPVT 2023 Admit card

  • RPVT 2023 Result (Print-out)

  • Character Certificate given from the school/college last attended

  • Digital Domicile Certificate issued by Rajasthan State authority

  • Transfer Certificate (If any)

  • Medical certificate of candidate claiming admission falling under the physically handicapped category.

  • The income certificate of parents if employed in any Government/Public Sector Enterprises/ Autonomous bodies/Private Organizations

The Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences 

The Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS) administers the Rajasthan Pre-Veterinary Test (RPVT) for admission to B.V.Sc and A.H degree programs. The RPVT is conducted in an offline mode once a year. RPVT, unlike other entrance exams in India, is solely open to candidates who are Rajasthan residents.

 

On December 16, RPVT 2021 counseling began. The deadline for online counseling registration is December 31. To take part in the RPVT 2023 seat allocation procedure, you must first register. For the allocation of 328 seats in B.V.Sc and A.H degree courses, RPVT counseling 2023 will be held online. Seats will be assigned based on the applicants' choices. 

 

Candidates must report to campus and have their documents validated after receiving their seat assignment. The Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS) in Bikaner had previously published the RPVT result 2023 on October 8. In the form of a scorecard, the results were posted on the official website, rajuvas.org. A merit list will be published based on the results. Candidates on the merit list will be eligible to participate in RPVT counseling in 2023. RPVT 2023 was held in pen and paper mode on September 19 in Jaipur and Bikaner and Udaipur.

 

Eligibility for RPVT 2023 Criteria

  • A maximum age limit

    • Minimum: On or before December 31, 2021, the candidate must be 17 years old.

    • Maximum: As of December 31, 2021, the candidate must not be older than 25 years old. Candidates from the reserved categories, on the other hand, can apply for RPVT 2021 until they reach the age of 30.

 

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must have passed a recognised institute's Senior Secondary/Indian School Certificate/Examination/Intermediate Examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biochemistry, and English.


The candidate must have passed each of the above subjects, both theoretically and practically.

 

In the qualifying examination, a minimum score is required.

  1. Candidates in the general category must get at least 50% on their qualifying exams.

  2. Candidates in the reserved category must score 47.5 percent.

Candidates for Domicile must be Indian citizens with a Rajasthan address. Those who do not have a Rajasthani domicile are not eligible to apply for RPVT 2023.

 

Physical Impairment

Candidates with the following disabilities are not eligible to apply for RPVT 2023, according to the Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education-Degree Course (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) Regulations - 2016.

  1. More than 50% impairment of the entire body, including the chest and spine

  2. More than 50% disability in the lower leg

 

Upper-Limb Impairment

  1. Candidates who are visually impaired or who have a hearing impairment

  2. Candidates with progressing disorders, such as myopathies, should not apply.

  3. Disabilities that might ordinarily prevent a veterinarian from performing his or her duties

Exam Pattern

The RPVT 2023 test pattern has been issued by RAJUVAS. The exam pattern includes important details about the exam, such as the mode, medium, duration, total number and type of questions, and marking scheme. The RPVT 2023 exam was held in three locations. 180 multiple-choice questions from three areas (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) make up the test paper. The time limit for completing the test paper was 3 hours. The exam was written in both English and Hindi. Candidates receive four marks for each correct response and one mark for each incorrect response, according to the RPVT pattern.

 

Application Form 

The application form for the RPVT 2023 has been made available online. Candidates were allowed until August 10 to complete the application form, as per the RPVT 2023 dates. Candidates can submit their application form by August 17 for a late charge of Rs 3,000. Candidates must first register before filling out the application form for the RPVT 2023 exam. Candidates should be aware that the information entered in the RPVT 2023 exam application form cannot be changed under normal circumstances. However, if any details are real and unavoidable, they can be changed after contacting the exam authority via email. Candidates must send an email to rpvtrajuvas@gmail.com requesting that certain details in the RPVT 2023 application form be updated.

 

Tips to Keep in Mind

Taking the instructions below will help you arrive on time and remain alert throughout the test.

  1. Before the exam, have a decent night's sleep. Before going to bed, make sure you have your admittance ticket, and identification.

  2. Find out where your test center is. Prepare ahead of time by printing and reviewing the directions. Arrive early at the testing center. Allow additional time to arrive in case there are any delays.

  3. Have faith in yourself. You have what it takes if you've been working hard in class and studying for the exam.
