BHU MBBS Counselling 2023 - An Overview

The counselling process of BHU will be conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). BHU MBBS counselling will be conducted in online mode. There will be a total three rounds of BHU MBBS counselling including a mop-up round of counselling for Deemed Universities/Central Universities/ESIC College. BHU MBBS admission 2023 will be done on the basis of the NEET score.

BHU MBBS Counselling 2023 - Counselling Process

The counselling process for BHU MBBS 2023 admission will take place in online mode. The candidates will be able to participate in the NEET counselling process by filling the registration form on the official website. BHU MBBS Counselling 2023 process involves the following steps: 

 

Step 1: BHU MBBS Counselling 2023 - Registration 

To participate in the BHU MBBS counselling 2023, firstly, the candidates need to register themselves on the official website. The candidates will have to complete the registration process with their NEET 2023 roll number and password. The roll number of NEET 2023 and created password will remain to be the login credential until the counselling gets completed. The candidates can change the password whenever they want when they feel the password is insecure. 

 

Step 2: BHU MBBS Counselling 2023 - Filling and Locking

Once the registration process is done, the BHU MBBS Counselling 2023 conducting authority will release a merit list of candidates selected for BHU MBBS counselling. The selected candidates will have to now lock their choice of seat. The candidates can make changes in the choice they have made during the locking session. In case, no choices will be locked by the candidate until the locking session is completed, the choices made by the candidate will be saved automatically. Candidates should note that if anyone has failed to submit their choices under the given timeline will not be considered for BHU MBBS/BDS admission.

 

Step 3: BHU MBBS Counselling 2023 - Seat Allotment

Once the above-mentioned steps are completed by the candidates, the BHU MBBS/BDS seat allotment process will be conducted by the official authority. On the basis of candidate’s NEET UG rank, locked choices, number of seats available, reservation criteria, and various other factors, candidates will be allotted seats. After allotment of seats, candidates will have to get admission by making payment of the required admission fee. 

 

BHU MBBS Counselling 2023 - Eligibility Criteria

  • Students must be of Indian origin. Also, Jammu & Kashmir candidates, Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), and foreign nations too can apply for BHU MBBS admission for 2023 and then go for BHU MBBS Counselling 2023

  • The students must be of at least 17 years of age as of December 31, 2023. 

  • No requirement for domicile for the admission of BHU MBBS 2023, as counselling will be done in a centralised procedure. 

  • In order to qualify for admission and later for the counselling process, the students must mandatorily pass the Class 12 exam or any equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English subjects. 

  • The aggregate percentage to score in each subject is 50% for General students and 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

  • Candidates must also score the minimum NEET Cut-off for the year 2023.

For General Caste, the application fee for BHU MBBS 2023 is Rs. 1000. For the reserved castes like SC/ST/OBC/PwD, application fee is Rs. 500. This registration fee will be non-refundable.

The minimum percentile for different categories of students to get into BHU MBBS are: 50 percentile for general category, 45 percentile for physically handicapped general candidates, and 40 percentile for SC/ST/OBC category candidates.
