NEET 2023

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2023), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is a national-level medical entrance exam for undergraduate admissions to MBBS, dental, AYUSH and nursing courses in India. The exam is a gateway to the top medical institutes in the country, including AIIMS and JIPMER. The NEET 2023 is a pen and paper-based exam in 13 languages. The NEET 2023 syllabus will be the same as last year’s, covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology based on Classes 11 and 12 syllabi.


Students Can Expect the Following Changes in the NEET 2023 Exam:

  • It is not mandatory for candidates to show their Aadhar card to fill out the NEET 2023 application form. However, keeping a valid ID proof handy is necessary.

  • Students will be able to appear for the NEET 2023 exam in any of the two languages they prefer, in addition to the standard English language.

  • There are no restrictions on the number of attempts a student can take in NEET 2023.

  • Admission to BSc Nursing courses will also be made through NEET 2023.

  • State Open School, NIOS, or private candidates cannot appear in the NEET 2023 exam.

  • It is now mandatory for all students who want to pursue medicine abroad and are Indian citizens to qualify for the NEET UG 2023 exam.

  • Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are now a part of the 15% All India Quota scheme.

  • The minimum age requirement to appear in NEET 2023 is 17 years during admission or before December 31, 2023. Therefore, students born on or after December 31, 2006, are eligible. The upper age limit for General category candidates is 25 years, and for other categories, it is 30 years.

  • Applicants of the general category must have passed Class 12 in PCB and English from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% marks, while it is 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC/SC/ST categories.

  • Students should be Indian Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs or Foreign Nationals.

NEET 2023 Application Form 

NTA will release the NEET 2023 application form on its official website- neet.nta.nic.in., and candidates can start registering from the first week of April 2023 (tentatively).


Steps to Fill NEET 2023 Application Form

  1. Visit the official website of NTA NEET 2023 and click on the ‘New Registration’ tab.

  2. Fill in basic details like name, contact number, DOB, email, etc. and click submit.

  3. Your login credentials (ID and Password) will be created and registration completed.

  4. Start filling in the NEET 2023 application form by providing personal details, choosing the exam centre and medium, and academic details.

  5. Now, upload the documents like passport-size photograph, academic certificates, category certificates, signature, thumb impressions, etc. in JPG and PDF formats.

  6. Pay the NEET application fee via UPI, debit card, credit card, net banking, or e-wallet.
