What is UP NEET?

National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test commonly known as NEET is a single gateway entrance examination for granting admission to medical UG courses across the country. The National Eligibility/Entrance Test (NEET) is an offline test carried out in a pen-paper mode, standing as the only medical entrance exam at the UG level. The National Eligibility/Entrance Test (NEET) is eligible for Class 12 students to sit in a single entrance examination to get admission to almost all medical colleges in India, including private medical colleges.

 

UP NEET/BDS application form can be filled only by candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria laid by the state counselling committee. For UP NEET registrations, it is important for aspirants to appear and qualify the NEET entrance exam. On the basis of the UP NEET application form, medical students will be granted admission to MBBS and BDS seats offered by the medical and dental colleges of Uttar Pradesh.

 

Eligibility to Fill up the UP NEET Application Form

Before filling the application form of UP NEET, it is important for aspirants to go through the eligibility criteria as mentioned by the state counselling authority. Aspirants can check some basic UP NEET eligibility criteria as mentioned below.

  • Candidates should be 17 years old. The maximum age limit of the aspirants is 25 years for general category, and 30 years for SC/ST/OBC.

  • NEET UG aspirants should be a bonafide resident of the state. But in the case of aspirants who have completed Class 10 and 12 from Uttar Pradesh are not required to submit their domicile certificate.

  • Any candidates who have passed either their Class 10 or Class 12 from any other school located in another state have to provide a general domicile certificate.

  • For admission to UP NEET/BDS private colleges, any candidate from any state will be eligible for admission.

  • Candidates have to obtain at least an aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English in Class 12. While reserved category and general PWD aspirants must secure 40% and 45%, respectively, in Class 12.

  • Along with this, NEET cutoff percentile and scores should be obtained to qualify the entrance exam.

Steps to Fill the UP NEET Application Form

The application form can be filled in four steps, which are listed below:

  1. UP NEET online registration.

  2. Uploading passport size photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression.

  3. Deposition of application fees.

  4. Submission of application form.

 

1. UP NEET Registration

For UP NEET registration, aspirants need to enter the following personal, academic, contact, NEET scores, and other asked details. The application forms should be filled with utmost care as it cannot be edited. It contains the following fields.

  • Name

  • Age (as on December 31, of the academic year)

  • Residential address

  • Father’s name

  • Mother’s name

  • Email ID

  • Mobile number

  • Candidate’s category

  • Details of the exam passed

  • Name of the board passed/appearing

  • Marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology/English

  • Total marks scored

  • Nationality

  • NEET roll number

  • Application number

  • Subject-wise and total marks obtained

  • Domicile

2. Uploading of Scanned Images

After filling the application form, the next step is to upload a passport size photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression of the aspirants as per the specifications mentioned by the authority. 3. Deposition of UP NEET Application Fees

For the successful submission of UP NEET application fees, it is mandatory to pay the registration fees. Candidates have to pay Rs. 2000 in online mode using credit/debit cards or net banking as application fees. In case aspirants wish to participate for admission to government colleges, then they also have to pay Rs. 30,000 as the security fees, while Rs. 2,00,000 must be paid as the security fees of private colleges. If an aspirant wishes to take admission in both government and private colleges, they have to deposit Rs. 2,00,000 as security fees.

 

4. Submission of UP NEET 2023 Application Form

The last step in filling the UP NEET application form is the final submission. After completion of all steps as mentioned, aspirants should cross-check the details filled in the application form of DME UP NEET, as some fields cannot be edited. The preview of the final application form is displayed on the screen. After cross checking all the details, aspirants can click on the ‘final submit’ option for the final submission of UP NEET/BDS application form. Download and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

 

Candidates whose applications will be accepted by the authority will be included in UP NEET merit list for the academic year, subject to fulfilling the eligibility conditions. Based on the ranks, aspirants will also be called for NEET UP counselling for admission to medical and dental colleges.

 

UP NEET Registration 2023

The Registration process is yet to start. UP NEET counselling 2023 is conducted by the Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (UPDGME). Eligible candidates as per the NEET 2023 result  can participate in the Uttar Pradesh NEET counselling 2023 for getting admission in MBBS /BDS Courses in the State. After the first round of all India 15% quota seat counselling, state counselling is going to start.

 

UPDGME conducts the counselling for 85% quota seats in the state medical and dental colleges. Eligible candidates seeking admission in MBBS and BDS courses in the Government and Private medical colleges in UP can register on the official site of UP for the counselling.
