NSEB 2024-25: Examination Pattern and Marking Scheme

The new examination structure will combine the first two stages of NSEB/IOQA into a single stage called the Indian National Olympiad.

IAPT has stated that for each exam there will be a single examination comprising two parts that will be held in a single sitting.

Part-II	This part will be known as INO (Indian National Olympiad)	Question Type: Students are asked to write a detailed answer on an answer booklet.

Note: The students will be writing both parts IOQA Part-I (NSE) & Part-II (INO) but the answer booklet of Part-II will be evaluated only if you’ve qualified Part-I.

The exam comprises a total of 60 questions.
3 marks will be awarded for each correct response, -1 will be deducted for every incorrect response, and no marks will be given for unanswered questions.
A student can score a maximum score of 216 marks.

Eligibility Criteria for NSEB Exam

Students must be Indian citizens.
For the National Standard Examination in Biology 2024-25, candidates must have been born between July 1, 2005, and June 30, 2010, .
The student must be currently enrolled in an Indian educational system OR must have lived and studied in India starting on or before November 30, 2023, at the latest.
