2. What are the registration fees required for the Class 2 Science Olympiad Examinations?
Fee for Class 2 Science Olympiad Examinations is ₹125 per student, for all the schools. This fee is inclusive of the Goods and service tax. However, schools can further charge ₹25 per student as additional fees for the in-charge, payment to teachers and guides, and the other expenses that are incurred.
If any student suffers from disabilities, or if there is an Indian student who lost their parents during defence operations, then in such cases the student is not required to pay any fees.
3. How can I register for class 2 Science Olympiad Examinations?
All students from classes 1-12 are eligible to register for the NSO Science Olympiad examinations. All the schools that have duly registered with the Science Olympiad Foundation are sent a prospectus that has registration forms. However, if there are schools that haven’t been registered with the SOF, they can also contact them by sending an email to the official mail id.
All the schools must send back the forms, with all the required details filled in, by the respective due date.
4. Why is the Science Olympiad Examination conducted?
The Science Olympiad Foundation conducted the examinations on November 27, 28 and December 11,12,18,19 respectively. All students from classes 1-12 can apply for them.
NSO is a scholarship exam that is conducted for cultivating the reasoning and logical abilities of students of classes 1-12, by carrying out rigorous tests. The examinations are conducted at two levels- Level 1 and Level 2.
Level 1 is for students from classes 1-12, and qualified students (from classes 3-12) become eligible for the Level 2 examinations. Registrations are usually completed 30 days before the examinations are commenced. Each year there are around 10 lakh students who apply for these examinations.
