Chemistry is a complex and tricky yet a concept-based subject which can only be studied through topic progression. Every chapter is linked to one another so misconceptions, in the first place, should immediately be cleared. The first issue students face with Chemistry is which one is the right approach to study the subject. Mugging in any science subject is never the solution- understanding the concepts is the first step to success. Memorisation does not go a long way which even the toppers have suggested as there are too many topics to cover, too many formulae, too many chemical equations to study and too many theorems to understand. Staying clear headed speedens the pace of studying the subjects and scoring well in the exam.

Question Paper for CBSE Class 12 Chemistry - 2013

General Chemistry, unlike other Science subjects, is both logical and abstract. For example, the Math concepts used in Chemistry can only be used in Chemistry. Sounds absurd but this is true! Be it the valences or study of electrons and protons and how and where they exist and work, Chemistry is a subject in application of concepts learnt in the earlier classes over and over again is what steers the wheel forward. This is the main reason how the basics save the day during practice of questions as well as on the main day of the exam. No matter how difficult the questions might be, if the basics are strong, no strong gust of wind can weaken the roots!
