CBSE Class 12 Previous Year Question Papers With Solutions Pdf - Tips To Score Well In Physics Board Paper

  • Students finding maths-based questions difficult should start studying with Modern Physics. The Semiconductor chapter is one of the most significant chapters in the physics syllabus. Along with these two, the Atom and Nuclei together are also very important for the board exams and should not be neglected by you at any cost.

  • The next chapters are about the Dual Nature of Radiation. This is followed by the chapters on the Communication system which constitutes very good marks weightage. Having a good grip over these chapters will boost you a great deal in securing high marks in the Physics exam.

  • Next comes many important and tricky concepts like Optics which carry more weightage in terms of the number of questions asked in the board exam. In this chapter, you need to study without fail all the concepts on Ray optics first, which are quite easy to understand. Further, in Wave Optics, you need to concentrate on numerical based on Interference, Diffraction, and Young’s double-slit experiment. Make sure you practice the ray diagram and other important diagrams accurately. Drawing and studying them repeatedly will help you understand all the topics faster and remember them easily in the exam.

  • Current and Electricity is a concept-based chapter that allows you to score only with proper understanding. Learning the basics of electricity, its terms, and other experimental analysis will help you to even solve complicated problems. These problems are generally asked for more marks.

  • Electrostatics and Magnetism are some of the most complex and vast topics. As these topics will consume the maximum amount of time, you should start studying them in small bits from the beginning. These are the chapters that also need multiple revisions and repeated practice to master. Also, these chapters are very much necessary for competitive exams. Therefore, you are advised not to skip these at any cost.

  • Electro-Magnetic Induction is the next important chapter in the syllabus. This chapter probably has the least number of direct questions. Most of the questions or numericals are completely concept-based. Do not forget that it holds heavy weightage for both the board exam and competitive exams and therefore should not be skipped at any cost.

  • Physics in higher classes is filled with lengthy problems and numerical problems. But do not forget to solve objective problems to make yourself more accurate in solving questions of 1 mark. Ensure that you practice numerical of all the types multiple times as they tend to be asked in the Physics paper extensively with minute changes.

We provide on-point notes and previous year papers, these notes and papers can be helpful to you in your school exams as well as CBSE board exams. Notes work best when you make them yourself.

2. How do I prepare for Chapters of CBSE Class 12 Physics that include formulas and numerical?

Let practice be your friend. Solve as many numericals as you can. Always make sure you are clear about the numerical given at the end of every chapter. NCERT books have a few exercises at the back of every chapter. These exercises are most important. Solve the numericals given in them. To memorize formulas, you must be clear about how they are derived. Practice derivation of various formulas especially from chapters like wave Optics, magnetism, and electric charge. Get the previous year question papers of Physics for Vedantu and solve them for further practice.

3. Why should you first prepare NCERT Class 12 Physics book?

Before moving on to solving, referring, and reading other books for your class 12, you should first concentrate on the NCERT textbook. The NCERT textbook aims to give you a clear understanding of a complex subject like Physics. The NCERT book can also be helpful for those who have to give entrance exams such as JEE and NEET. Jumping directly to reference books will only lead to unwanted confusion. Reference books are meant for practice after your basics are entirely clear.

4. What do you mean by the Dual nature of radiation as taught in class 12 Physics?

Radiation has two different properties. It behaves like a wave as well as a particle. The dual nature of radiation refers to two natures of radiation, one is the ‘wave nature and the other is the ‘particle nature.’ Light shows an interference pattern, this can only be possible if it has a wave nature. This can be observed in Young's Double Slit Experiment. The particle nature of radiation can be observed when we direct light on a cathode with a frequency exceeding the threshold frequency. The cathode ejects an electron, this leads to photoelectric current in the circuit. Both the experiments prove the dual nature of radiation.

5. What is the application of Polarization that is discussed in CBSE Class 12 - 2018 - Free PDF Download?

The application of polarization is as follows:

  • 3-D movies use the phenomenon of polarization. We can see 3-D movies using a 2-D frame with the help of polarization.

  • Polarization is also used to study natural calamities like earthquakes.

  • In organic chemistry, to find out the chirality of organic compound techniques working on the principles of polarization is used.

  • In sunglasses, polarization is used to reduce the glare of the sunlight.

  • A method of analysis in chemistry is known as Infrared spectroscopy using polarization.
