Hint: We have to know that the energy spectrum of a particle is the number of particles or intensity of a particle beam as a function of particle energy.

Complete answer:
We need to know that a continuous spectrum contains different types of colors and wavelengths. And this spectrum does not have any colors. By the heating of gas, the atoms in the gas absorb the energy and emit light, and an emission spectrum results. The lines in the emission spectrum are called emission lines. In a continuous spectra, a convenient model is a discrete spectrum whose values are too close to be distinguished, as in the phonons in a crystal. Rainbow is an example of continuous spectrum. And most of the continuous spectrum is formed from the hot, dense objects like, moon, stars and planets.
And this continuous spectra is also known as thermal spectra or black body spectra. There is an emission of electromagnetic radiation at different wavelengths due to the presence of hot and dense medium. And this continuous spectra is smooth and continuous and it always radiate the heat. And there is some difference between continuous spectrum and line spectrum. Because, in the line spectrum there have either isolated emission light or absorption light with huge gapes but the continuous spectrum does not contains any gaps between the light.

Note:
We also remember that a continuous spectrum contains different types of colors and wavelength. And this spectrum does not have any colors. By the heating of gas, the atoms in the gas absorb the energy and emit light, and an emission spectrum results.
