Hint: The taxonomy hierarchy is also known as the Linnaeus theory, was proposed by Carolus Linnaeus where he classified organisms based on similarities in obvious physical traits.

Complete answer: The Linnaean hierarchy is also known as the taxonomic hierarchy which is used in the classification of organisms in the different categories. It includes the sequence of the category which is in a decreasing order starting from the kingdom to species, so in the descending order, the highest in the hierarchy would be the kingdom and the lowest will be the species, which is Kingdom-Phylum-Class-Order-Family-Genus-species. In the ascending order, the order will be Species-Genus-Family-Order-Class-Phylum-Kingdom. The species is the most basic characteristics.
The first letter of the genus is always capital and the remaining letters of the genus and the species are written in small letters and it is always underlined.
Hence, the correct answer is option is D.

Additional information: The advantage of Linnaean hierarchy is that it can be used to organise different kinds of living organisms in a simple and practical manner. Every new species discovered can be given a unique name.

Note: The taxonomy is the branch of the biology which deals with the classification and identification of organisms. Initially, Linnaeus established three kingdoms for plants, animals and minerals, which was abandoned later. The five-kingdom classification by Linnaeus is robust and is the only working classification system at present that is universally accepted.
