Natural resources are the resources that are present today to meet the demands of the people but if the continue to be used, there won’t be any resources that are available in the future. These resources are useful to mankind to run his daily life. Types of natural resources includes
(1) Renewable resources
(2) Nonrenewable resources
(1) Renewable resources:
These are the resources that are used again and again and after the usage it is returned to the environment. Hence these resources are easily available without much cost. Examples of the renewable resources include water, sunlight, oxygen, soil, wind etc.

(2) Nonrenewable resources
These resources get depleted when a certain quantity of resources is used. It cannot be obtained again and again. They are available at higher cost before the depletion. Examples of the non-renewable resources include coal, petroleum, natural gas etc.




Note: Nonrenewable resources are also slowly renewable in nature. This is because resources like petrol, natural gas etc. can restore at the several millions of years ones. The petroleum is formed by the deposition of dead plants and animals for a prolonged period of time at the high temperature and pressure.
