Hint: When we talk or sing then muscles of the vocal cord contract and because of this two vocal cords become stretched and get close together, leaving only a narrow slit between them. Air from lungs passes current between two vocal cords. The air inside two vocal cords makes the cord vibrate and this vibration produces sound.
Complete step-by-step answer:
The human body is full of complicated structures and full of mistry. Each part does their work so that our body can run smoothly.
We use hands to eat, ears to listen and mouth to talk. But when we talk, sound is produced from the throat. Have u ever been fascinated which part and thing is responsible for producing sound from our throat.
A human produces sound by using a voice box which we call a larynx. In our throat, at the top of the windpipe a voice box is situated.
Sound is produced when vibration has been made by material or thing. Like that when vocal cords vibrate, a sound is produced.
The vocal cord which is attached to muscles of the throat, changes the tension or either stretching is done in cords and distance between the cords.
When muscles of the vocal cord which is present inside the throat get relaxed completely then vocal cords are separated and loose so that air (air from lungs) will pass through them without producing sound. When we don't talk or sing, the two vocal cords are away from each other with some gap.
Answer- (B)
Note: Actually whenever we try to talk or sing, we make our vocal cords vibrate and vibration of vocal cords produce vocal sound by expulsion. Not only the human body, anything which is vibrating or will vibrate will produce.
