Hint: As known, India is a very diverse country, not just culturally wise but also geographically. India is the seventh-largest country in the world with an area of 3,287,240 sq km. It is also the 2nd highest populated country.

Complete answer:
Being a geographically diverse country, India has been sharing its borders with different countries such as Pakistan, Bhutan, etc, and India’s easternmost point is present at a tiny town called Kibithu, Anjaw district, Arunachal Pradesh. It is one of the easternmost permanently populated towns in India and the river Lohit enters India through this town only. The town is located on the LAC (Line of Actual control) at \[28{}^\circ 16^\prime 49^\prime\prime N\text{ }97{}^\circ 01^\prime 04^{\prime\prime} E\]and also located on the last road headed to the extreme northeastern parts of India. This town is located at an altitude of 11,000 feet above sea level making its climate cool and pleasant. This town Kibithi is situated uniquely on the tri-junction with China to the north and Myanmar to the east. Also, another great thing about this town is that it is one of the 5 official Border Personnel Meeting points, for the meet between the Indian Army and People's Liberation Army this meet usually helps in any stand-offs and to defuse it. As covered the easternmost point in India is Kibithu similarly, the southernmost point of India is Indira Point, Great Nicobar, A&N Islands, the westernmost point is Ghuar Mota, Gujarat, and the northernmost point in Siachen Glacier. Interestingly this is the first place where sunrise can be seen in India. Also in the year 1962, this town has seen severe Indo-china battles, however now it is a peaceful area with heavy security/guard.

So, the correct answer is Option D.

Note: Interestingly the river Lohit enters India from the town Kibithu, It is the first settlement along the banks of Lohit River in Arunachal Pradesh after the river enters the Indian Territory from China.
