Hint: The atmosphere is the part of this world that holds up something vital for every living organism to survive- Air. Now we are very well known for one of the components of this air, and that is oxygen. But this air does not contain only oxygen, but also other elements along with dust particles, water vapor, and so on. Also, there is a fixed percentage of each element in the air. Let us understand and learn this chemical composition clearly.

One can roughly say that the earth’s atmosphere has a chemical composition which constitutes of the following elements:
Nitrogen= 78%
Oxygen= 21%
Argon= 0.93%
Carbon Dioxide= 0.04%
Other gases (inert gases like He, Kr, Ne, etc.), dust particles, and water vapor= 0.03%
The above percentage values are a rough estimation of each of the components of the atmosphere.

Note:
The chemical composition of the atmosphere is always maintained roughly around these estimated values by various cycles like nitrogen cycle, water cycle, carbon cycle, etc. All these are known as biogeochemical cycles. This cycle helps in exchanging the elements between the lithosphere and the atmosphere. With the help of these cycles, the composition of the atmosphere is maintained at an equilibrium.
All the gases are not found everywhere in the atmosphere. The upper atmosphere has nitrogen and inert gases and plenty due to their light density. The dense gases like oxygen and carbon dioxide are found near the earth’s crust known as the troposphere.
