Hint: The isolation of species or breeding groups by barriers is called geographical isolation. In simple terms it is considered as the separation between the populations and these separate separated species adapt to their surroundings which is called as adaptive radiation, there are many factors which will affect the population during the geographical isolation.
Complete answer:
Different areas will have different factors or characteristics which will affect the species which are in isolation.
These factors also include different environment, each and every species of organisms are adapted or evaluated themselves for a particular environment such as Arctic areas are colder areas with very less water wherein we can find only animals which can survive in those environment whereas the temperate regions will have the accurate water which is enough for the survival of species.
The proper sunlight with required or optimum heat temperature, with all the terrestrial requirements so species among these areas exhibit different mechanisms in their bodies to add up to their geography the temperature species cannot survive in Arctic areas whereas Arctic species cannot survive in temperate regions because Arctic species will have thick fat layer whereas the temperate living species will have thin fat so this is the major and crucial part of the geographical isolation.
Note: Geographical isolation is considered as the population which is isolated depending upon the natural or migration features which will help them to survive for a long time and to breed accordingly Geographical isolated species cannot undergo breeding with each other because they live in isolation which is meant only for their species to survive and which is isolated by barriers such as mountains or the waters.
